About

Alexandra is a Philadelphia-based writer and self-professed culture geek. She has written about books, music, fashion, and art for various print and online publications, including Venus Zine, Atlanta Music Guide, and Cinedork.

After spending eight years in Atlanta — working in theatre and safeguarding puppets — she recently relocated to pursue her Masters of Arts in English at Villanova University. She works on campus at Falvey Memorial Library, creating press materials, covering events for the library blog, maintaining the library’s Twitter account, and assisting with the Community Bibliography.  Whenever possible, she volunteers in the Digital Library, scanning and transcribing historical materials for preservation.

Alexandra co-created The Film League, a website dedicated to in-depth analysis and exploration of cult classic films of all genres.  She serves as staff writer and co-editor-in-chief for the site.

Currently, Alexandra also works on the development and membership team for the Organization for Transformative Works, a non-profit dedicated to providing access to and preserving the history of fanworks and fan culture in its myriad forms.

In her off hours, she reads comic books and walks her adorable rescue dog.
